Titanic Food Menus For 3rd Class Passengers

The Titanic sank nearly 104 years ago to the day and many interesting facts have come to light, but while much has changed in the world over the past century, one thing remains the same: the contrast between first class and economy.

The passengers of the Ship of Dreams were divided into first, second and third class Titanic. The lower classes occupied the bottom part of the ship and the upper levels - you guessed it - had the top part. But the big difference was in the Titanic's food. While first-class passengers were treated to Egg A L'Argenteuil, Chicken A La Maryland, Consomme Fermier and anything vaguely French-sounding, they could choose to eat at any of the five Titanic restaurants catering to their entourage. . Second-class passengers had to make do with spring lamb, plum pudding and American ice cream. Which still sounds pretty good actually, especially when compared to the baked figs, oatmeal, and cabin biscuits that third-class passengers had on their Titanic menu. But then again, at least they were fed. That's more than you can expect from many airlines these days. Unless you are traveling first class of course.
